Omar Hamdi
Founder and CEO, Pathos Communications
Omar Hamdi is a tech and media entrepreneur, and the founder of Pathos Communications – a British mediatech scaleup that has been recognised by Deloitte as the fastest growing bootstrapped tech company in the UK.
Pathos Communications operates at the intersection of technology, media, and business growth strategy – with a particular focus on SME and growth company clients. Built on a “pay on publication” model, Pathos reverses the traditional incentives of PR: clients only pay when their article is successfully published by a third-party media outlet.
The company uses proprietary AI tools – including AI agent stack PathosMind and virtual publicist Pressella – to transform client stories into media-ready journalism at scale.
Omar works closely with the Pathos Communications leadership team across sales, editorial, legal, operations and engineering, ensuring the company maintains both rapid growth and tight operational discipline. The group now has more than 5,000 clients in 50+ countries, on every continent except Antarctica.
Alongside building Pathos Communications, Omar is deeply involved in promoting entrepreneurship and economic mobility. He frequently contributes to Entrepreneur Magazine UK, supports founders seeking to raise the profile of their ventures, and advocates for models of media access that are transparent, merit-based, and democratised.
Omar is also committed to developing internal talent through training programmes, performance-linked incentives, and career-accelerator schemes within Pathos. His focus on meritocracy and process-driven execution has shaped Pathos into a company where young, ambitious professionals can progress quickly.
Why do you support The Entrepreneurs Network?
The vast majority of entrepreneurs are invisible, and the minority are often distorted. The Entrepreneurs Network does important work in bringing founders together, supporting them, and making sure Britain continues to be a great place to start and grow a business.
Why is the UK an attractive place to grow a business?
The UK has the world’s business language, a helpful time zone, and a lot of ambitious people with thick skins and stiff upper lips (both attributes that help a lot in business!)
For a business like Pathos, which is natively global, the UK has the highest quality professional services community in the world and a capital market infrastructure that has a higher success rate of creating unicorns than anywhere else in the world.
