Anastasia Bektimirova

Anastasia was formerly the Head of Science and Technology at The Entrepreneurs Network, leading research and policy initiatives aimed at strengthening the enabling environment for technology and science-intensive companies to start and grow in the UK.

Since then, Anastasia has joined the Royal Academy of Engineering as a Senior Policy Advisor focused on digital and physical Infrastructure, especially in relation to bringing AI into everyday infrastructure and services in ways that are effective, trusted, and lead to better outcomes for the public.

Earlier, Anastasia worked as a Senior Researcher in the Science and Technology team at Onward, focusing on critical technologies, AI policy, and the UK’s R&D ecosystem. Prior to that, Anastasia worked for the International Telecommunication Union, focusing on the United Nations affairs, strategic partnerships, and ICTs for Sustainable Development Goals.
