Founder & CEO of Student Nannies

Tracey Blake, the founder and CEO of Student Nannies, is a parenting author and blogger, and mum to Minnie, 10, and Monty, 8. Tracey and her family live in Buckinghamshire.

Studentnannies.com was purely a childcare platform connecting parents with university  students for ’smart’, flexible childcare but ahead of school closures due to covid-19 the brand pivoted to offer on-line study buddies from top universities, helping children and supporting parents with lockdown learning.

Tracey credits her ‘journalist’s gut’ for this swift and decisive pivot which has transformed the business.

Before she set up Student Nannies in 2016, Tracey was a national newspaper journalist for 15 years, working at the Daily Mail and Metro, and still writes a parenting blog for Mail Online.

Tracey co-wrote  Small Talk: Simple ways to boost your child’s speech and language development from birth with speech and language therapist Nicola Lathey. It was published in the UK and US, and the pair went on to write two Small Talk children’s story books that encourage first words, which have been published in the UK (stocked by Marks & Spencer) and also in Spain.

Student Nannies has been through two investment rounds and is currently raising again. Tracey is a passionate supporter of other women and believes that we are stronger together!
