Out of Focus: How Founders Feel About Britain’s Media Landscape

  • House of Lords SW1A 0PW London (map)

Join us in the House of Lords for the launch of Out of Focus: How Founders Feel About Britain’s Media Landscape — a new report from The Entrepreneurs Network, produced in partnership with Pathos Communications.

In a time of rapid economic change and growing public interest in business, accurate and balanced reporting has never been more important. Yet our new survey finds that for every founder who thinks journalists do a good job covering entrepreneurship, five think the opposite.

The report highlights a clear disconnect between entrepreneurs and the media — and suggests what both sides can do to rebuild trust. Founders want more honest, representative coverage that reflects the realities of building a business and recognises the positive role of entrepreneurship in driving prosperity.

To mark the report’s release, we invite you to an evening discussion on how media narratives shape perceptions of entrepreneurship and how a more informed and balanced conversation can be achieved.

The launch will be hosted by Lord Kamall – Professor of Politics & International Relations (St Mary’s University), Visiting Scholar Vinson Centre (University of Buckingham), House of Lords Shadow Minister (Health and Social Care) and Co-Chair APPG Commonwealth. We will also hear from Omar Hamdi, Founder of Pathos Communications.
