The Government’s recent Immigration White Paper set out a wave of immigration policy changes. Given that many businesses rely on international talent – from the staff they employ, to the people who found them, and the investors who back them – these changes could have profound consequences for Britain’s economy.
Partnering with law firm Kingsley Napley, we are hosting a roundtable in the House of Lords to unpack the White Paper and its potential implications.
The discussion will cover the proposed changes to the Skilled Worker, Global Talent, High Potential Individual, Innovator Founder, and Graduate visas; the Temporary Shortage List for lower-skilled roles with long-term shortages; the extension of the pathway to settlement for international workers, and the higher bar for English language requirements.
The conversation will be chaired by Lord Bilimoria – Founder of Cobra Beer, Founding Chairman of the UK India Business Council, former Chancellor of the University of Birmingham, and crossbench peer. Lord Bilimoria is also an officer of the APPG for Entrepreneurship, for which The Entrepreneurs Network is the secretariat.
