Alick Varma founded Osper in 2012 with the aim of helping children learn how to manage money at an early age. Using a secure, dual-controlled app, the company allows parents to safely and gradually transfer responsibility for money to their children. The app is linked to a prepaid card, supported by Mastercard, through which young people, aged 8 – 18, make their own spending and saving decisions: online, in shops, at cash machines and abroad. Alick previously worked at McKinsey and Spotify, and also trained to be a maths teacher.
